Once the robots.txt file has been compiled the user can upload the file automatically to the web server of the application based on the details which are entered in the Project Properties screen. The uploading is done using a simple FTP protocol.
Note. There are some reasons why this automatic uploading may not be possible straight through the application(for example because the web server does not allow the use of the FTP protocol). In this situation you can upload the robots.txt file in the same manner as you upload all the other files of your website that reside in your local PC. For example as the compiled robots.txt file is placed in the root host directory in your local PC (as specified in the Project Properties screen) your authoring tool will upload the robots.txt file next time you synchronize your files with the remote web server.
